Universal Works is an independent contemporary menswear brand founded in 2009 by David Keyte, who began designing honest, well-fitting clothing from his kitchen table in Nottingham. Inspired by his working-class upbringing in the Midlands and a background in traditional British workwear, the brand blends heritage influences with modern aesthetics, emphasising fit, simple design, and small-scale, trusted production. Today, Universal Works maintains its independent spirit, championing skilled craftsmanship, ethical manufacturing, and meaningful collaborations while remaining rooted in straightforward, functional design.
