Say Hi to CMMN SWDN

The five-year old label CMMN SWDN, which was founded in Malmö, Sweden, but is now based in London, seeks to create progressive and out of the ordinary but wearable pieces. Inspired by the noise of adolescence and classic sartorial menswear, CMMN propose a new image of masculinity.

With their latest FW18 collection, CMMN SWDN shows once more their ‘paradox’ between classic tailoring and streetwear. The contradiction is already in the title of the collection; “Nostalgic Future”, dwelling on influences from Punk and Rave as well as the first experiments with your dad’s wardrobe, borrowing his ill-fitting coats and shirts. The color palette combines both ages, displaying acid yellow and bold red as well as earthy tones. Designers Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund wanted to tell “stories about the complexities of coming-of-age, exploring both the physical and psychological changes of adolescence.” We happily provide you with their latest noisy pieces.
