The All Handsewn Sneaker Moc Ox w/ 2021 in Optical by Yuketen combines the comfort of traditional moccasin construction with the understated aesthetic of a classic 1970s tennis shoe.

Handcrafted in Maine, USA, this style represents one of Yuketen’s most complex handsewn moccasins. The upper is made from full-grain flesh-out leather, where the hide is reversed so the soft, suede-like flesh side faces outward, while the smooth grain sits against the foot. This preserves the strength and durability of full-grain leather while offering comfort without the need for additional lining.

To achieve a close, molded fit, multiple pieces of leather are hand-sewn and hand-lasted on Yuketen’s proprietary last, originally developed in the 1950s for American-made moccasins. The base of the vamp is cinched to further follow the natural shape of the foot.

Underfoot, the construction features a layered combination of leather, rubber and cushioning materials, including vegetable-tanned leather insoles and midsoles, supported by a steel shank. This structure helps distribute weight more evenly and reduces foot fatigue over time.

Finished with a Vibram 2021 sole, the shoe provides lightweight cushioning and durability, completing a design that merges moccasin craftsmanship with a more contemporary sneaker-inspired profile.
